Staking is how proof-of-stake blockchains maintain security. By 'staking' your tokens, you help validate transactions and in return earn rewards (similar to interest). You can stake through exchanges (easiest), liquid staking protocols (get a tradeable token back), or by running your own validator node (most technical). Staking rewards vary by network — ETH earns ~3-4% APY, SOL ~5-7%, DOT ~10-12%.
